Dominguez, president of South American Football Association, said: “This special measure was taken to deal with previously unexpected situations in order to avoid the spread of the virus. The America Cup organizing committee also released the news on its official social media account that day.
The 47th America Cup was originally scheduled to open on June 12 this year and closed on July 12. The competition was held in Argentina and Colombia. South American Football Association said that after being postponed to 2021, the host city and competition system remained unchanged.
