“I believe this will be a wonderful Olympic Games. I hope all the players will focus on training and preparation.” Bach said.
“The top priority is to ensure the smooth progress of the qualification examination process, and at the same time to ensure the safety of athletes. This is what we are working together with the Japanese authorities, the World Health Organization, China and other countries (regions) Olympic committee.” Bach said.
Previously, IOC member pound said that the new coronavirus epidemic may cause the Tokyo Olympics to be canceled. Bach responded to this view: “I will not add fuel to speculation or assumed views.”
