The Olympic organizing committee stressed again in the email: “We have never considered canceling the Olympic Games, and the delay of these activities will never affect the overall preparations for the Olympic Games.” The organizing committee will continue to work closely with relevant organizations to prepare for a safe Olympic Games, the email said.

The volunteers of Tokyo Olympic Games started their first training in last October. It was originally expected that about 200 trainings would be conducted in 13 venues across Japan.
