The reporter learned from Hangzhou sports and leisure industry association that the resumption rate of sports manufacturing enterprises in Hangzhou has exceeded 70%.

Zhejiang Huaying Holding Group Co., Ltd., located in Fuyang district, Hangzhou city, is a sports industry demonstration unit recognized by the State General Administration of Sports. It produces more than 3,000 rowing boats and kayaks every year and has its own brand and global marketing network, at present, it has become the world’s largest professional rowing manufacturer and one of the few mass production yacht manufacturers.

Since the company resumed work on February 15, the current employee arrival rate has exceeded 90%. “Wearing masks, taking body temperature, showing health codes, isolating meals and sterilizing the workshop, all protective measures have been put in place.” Jin Yin, the deputy general manager of the company, said that for the sake of safety, the company even set up a separate isolation room.

Jin Yin said that some orders could not be delivered on time due to the delay of factory start-up caused by the epidemic and the cancellation of upstream supply chains, materials and some international flights in the industry, at present, the company is also speeding up the construction period with sufficient horsepower. “The original plan was to send more than 100 boats to countries such as the United States, Britain, Holland, Germany, France, Japan and Iran in mid-to-late February. After contacting and negotiating with customers in the above regions, the factory is currently working overtime to complete the shipment in mid-March.”

In addition to the normal operation of sports manufacturing industry, some outdoor sports business venues in Hangzhou have also begun to resume opening to the outside world, but the business hours are relatively compressed. In contrast, swimming pools, indoor athletic field and other places with relatively closed space and relatively concentrated personnel are still in a state of suspension.

“Individual gyms adopt the member reservation system and resume business by reducing business hours. However, the current resumption rate is less than 10%, while the resumption rate of physical education and training institutions is lower.” Zou Jie, secretary general of Hangzhou Sports and Leisure Association, said.
