Xue Zhiwen, a 16-year-old boy from Hegang, Heilongjiang province, won the seventh place in the 500 m competition of the 2019 Speed Skating Youth World Cup, thus obtaining the qualification of this winter Youth Olympic Games. Ding Yuhuan, who is the same age as Xue Zhiwen, is a girl from Bayannaoer City, Inner Mongolia. She once won four individual championships in the winter biathlon competition of the second National Youth Games, he won the fifth place in the individual competition (adult group) in the 14th National Winter Games summer pulley shooting championship.
The opening ceremony of this winter Youth Olympic Games will be held simultaneously in Lausanne and St. Moritz on the evening of the 9th.
