Xinhua News Agency, Geneva, December 13th FIFA issued a communique on the 13th confirming that they received four candidature file of the 2023 Women’s World Cup before the deadline arrived, from Brazil, Colombia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, the latter two countries jointly bid.

32 teams will participate in the 2023 Women’s World Cup for the first time. After the end of this year’s French women’s football World Cup, the FIFA executive committee unanimously voted to “expand the army” of the women’s football World Cup, increasing from 24 teams to 32.
