Chen Yichu, former vice chairman of Henan CPPCC, mentioned in his speech that since the first race of Henan tennis king tournament started in March 2015, after four years of success, it has created a series of new records of amateur tennis events in our country and has become one of the brand events in the amateur tennis field in our country.
On December 1st, Zheng Yugao railway, Zheng Xiang section, Zheng Fu High-Speed Railway and Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed railway commercial and joint section have been officially opened for operation. Zhengzhou will soon become China’s first national central city with a rice-shaped high-speed rail hub, and will also bring more transportation convenience to athletes from all over the country who come to Zhengzhou to participate in the competition!
Next year, the basic construction of the Central Plains tennis center will be expanded even more. As the only top-level WTA (International Women’s Tennis Association) in China, Zhengzhou Open will be expanded, it will be held as scheduled on next September. The Central Plains tennis center held 12 tennis events and training activities in 2019. This year is also the fifth consecutive year of Henan tennis king championship, as many amateur tennis experts have praised the specifications, scale, level and service of this competition, it has become a brand competition in amateur tennis in our province. This event specially created for amateur tennis players can be described as “the embodiment of the high integration of national fitness and National Health”, “the link between mass sports and competitive sports”, “A platform for promoting the simultaneous implementation of tennis and popularizing tennis”, “measures for the coordinated development of healthy China and benefiting people’s livelihood”, and “a carrier for cultural inheritance and sports industry to echo from afar”.
The finals lasted for two days (December 7 and 8), and 156 (226 people) players signed up for the competition. As of the end of this site, 2405 people from 29 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country have signed up for the “King of the ball” competition in 2019.
There are 5 events including men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles, which are divided into 10 groups according to age. The competition adopts the latest “tennis competition rules” approved by China Tennis Association. The competition is divided into two stages. The first stage adopts the circular competition system and the second stage adopts the elimination competition system. At present, all eight people can get points and bonus rewards. (Finished)
