On March 31, the General Office of the State General Administration of Sports issued a notice saying that in order to implement the epidemic prevention and control requirements of “import of external defense and rebound of internal defense” and reduce the risks brought by the flow and gathering of personnel to the epidemic prevention and control, effectively protect people’s life safety and health. In the future, large-scale activities such as marathons and sports events and other crowd gathering activities will not be resumed. At the same time, we should continue to guide the masses in scientific fitness and organize online events.
On the 6th, the China Association of Agricultural Science and Technology said in the notice that in order to effectively protect people’s life safety and health and reduce hidden dangers caused by the gathering of people, since the date of the notice issued by the General Administration, marathon and other large-scale activities and events will not resume for the time being. In order to fully protect the rights and interests of runners, the organizing committee of each event should fully release the event information such as cancellation and extension of the event in a timely manner, and do a good job in communicating with runners.
The “notice” requires that the organizing committee and operating units of each event shall, according to the characteristics of the event and the local epidemic situation, adopt the form of network to promote and scientifically guide the running and exercise activities at home to the local people, at the same time, it indicates that the recovery time of relevant events and activities will be issued in accordance with the notice of the General Administration of Sports.
