When the four old Executive Committees left office, 13 representatives from government departments, professional clubs, football celebrities and social enterprise representatives were added to the executive committee.
Liu Haiguang said that it is an honor for him to be the chairman of the Shanghai Football Association. Liu Haiguang, born in 1963, was once a high center of Chinese men’s football team. He was once selected as a national football team and participated in important events such as Asian Youth Games, World Youth Games, Asian Cup, FIFA World Cup qualification and Olympic Games. In the 1988 Olympic qualifying tournament, the Chinese team broke the deadlock with Liu Haiguang’s YILI goal and finally defeated the Japanese team to enter the Olympic Games.
