Xinhua News Agency, Xi’an, April 1 (Reporter Yao Youming) the preparatory committee of Shaanxi province for the 14th National Games officially released the 14th National Games, the 11th National Paralympic Games and the 8th Special Olympics volunteer recruitment work plan (hereinafter referred to as the “Plan”) plans to recruit 15000 Games-time volunteers of the 14th National Games and 10000 Games-time volunteers of the Special Olympics, 80000 city volunteers and 200000 social volunteers.
According to the volunteer service fields and job settings of the 14th National Games and Special Olympics for the disabled, volunteers are divided into three categories: Games-time volunteers, urban volunteers and social volunteers. Among them, Games-time volunteers of the service areas are specifically divided into three categories: general voluntary service, competition voluntary service and special voluntary service: General voluntary service includes consultation and guidance around venues, security inspection guidance, stand Service, athlete guidance (admission), Regional guidance (admission), guest guidance, team reception, athlete and guest rest area service, venue internal service, medical assistance service, media information service, field information transmission, maintenance guarantee, image display, language translation, warm-up site service in the museum, etc. Competition volunteer services include referee assistance, competition Service, recording service, equipment support, presentation etiquette, on-site broadcast, stimulant testing escort, Sports Display assistance, etc. Special volunteer services include the resident service of the whole yuncun, the service of the event Command and the news media release center, the hotel reception service, the open (closed) screen image display service, the civilized cheerleading team, the Auxiliary Service of TV broadcast, raise (group) executive committee office area services, etc.
The field of city volunteer service is divided into two categories: concierge volunteer service and city key regional volunteer service. The former includes providing arrival and departure reception, guidance, at airports, stations and other major transportation hubs, luggage handling and other services, the latter includes voluntary service sites set up in key areas such as major streets, tourist attractions and commercial centers to provide cultural publicity and information consulting services. The service areas of social volunteers include but are not limited to traffic order maintenance, urban public order maintenance, community care, disability assistance and urban environmental protection.
The 14th National Games and the Special Olympics for the disabled (group) committee are the only legal recruitment agencies for volunteers of the 14th National Games and Special Olympics for the disabled. The voluntary service department of the funding committee takes the lead in implementing the recruitment work, the voluntary service department of the executive committee of each urban area in Shaanxi province, relevant universities and the funding (group) the unit or institution entrusted by the committee is the executing unit.
Personnel who meet the following basic requirements can apply for Games-time volunteers: 1. Voluntary participation in the 14th National Games and Special Olympics for the disabled; 2. Aged over 18 years old (born before July 30, 2003), have the physical condition and health quality needed to carry out voluntary service, and have good communication and coordination ability; 3. Abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China and have no criminal record; 4. Have good moral quality, highly responsible working attitude, be able to participate in pre-job training and related activities all the way, and the examination results reach the level of qualification and above; 5. Love voluntary service and be able to participate in voluntary service throughout the whole process within the time stipulated by the committee; 6. Have the necessary knowledge and skills for the declared volunteer service position, and have certain analysis, judgment and oral expression ability.
Applicants who meet one of the following conditions can be preferred under the same circumstances: 1. Those with volunteer service experience and excellent performance in large-scale competitions; 2. Those with professional skills required for voluntary service work of the 14th National Games and Special Olympics for the disabled; 3. Can provide volunteer service for both the 14th National Games and the Paralympic Games; 4. Registered in “volunteer China”, reaching more than four stars.
According to the plan, the registration time of Games-time volunteers is from September 1, 2020to October 31, and the registration time of city volunteers is from January 1, 2021to March 31, the registration time of social volunteers is from April 1 to June 30, 2021. Among them, Games-time volunteers and city volunteers can sign up by individuals and groups. According to the recruitment announcement, interested individuals or groups can register on the 14th National Games and the disabled Special Olympics volunteer management information platform within the registration time. Social volunteers are co-ordinated by the municipal executive committees of Shaanxi province and organized by districts and counties. Applicants apply in their street offices.
The recruitment steps of Games-time volunteers are divided into six stages: Publicity, registration, preliminary examination, executive committee examination, background examination and assessment. Games-time volunteers employment will be completed before May 31, 2021. The specific recruitment work of urban volunteers and social volunteers shall be arranged by the municipal executive committee according to the committee of funding (group), and be carried out according to the recruitment work steps of Games-time volunteers.
