In view of the one-year delay of the Tokyo Olympic Games, the deadline for golfers to rank in the Olympic Games will be extended to June 21, 2021 (men) and June 28, 2021 (women) respectively. The integral calculation phase began on July 1, 2018 and was originally scheduled to end on June this year.
The Olympic ranking points are based on the world ranking of male and female golf. Due to the global spread of the new coronavirus epidemic, the ranking was suspended on March 20. Announcements regarding the restoration of their respective rankings will be announced in due course.

There will be 60 male and female players each participating in the Tokyo Olympic golf competition. At the end of the qualification period, the top 15 players will be eligible to participate in the Olympic Games, and each country (region) can only have a maximum of 4 players. In addition to the top 15, players will be eligible according to the world ranking. If no two or more players in a country (region) rank in the top 15 in the world, at most two players in the country (region) can qualify for the competition. The host and five continents will get the quota.
